Unit 9 :: Past Perfect Tense

Past Perfect Tense คือ Tenses ที่เราใช้กับเหตุการณ์ 2 เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีตที่ต่อเนื่องกันโดยที่เหตุการณ์แรกได้ผ่านพ้นไปแล้ว และได้มีเหตุการณ์หลังเกิดขึ้นต่อเนื่องกับเหตุการณ์แรก

-       เหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นก่อน เราจะต้องใช้ Past Perfect Tense

-       เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นที่หลัง เราจะต้องใช้ Past Simple Tense

โครงสร้างของ Past Perfect Tense

ต่อไปนี้คือเหตุการณ์ที่คุณผู้อ่านจะใช้กับ Past Perfect Tense คือ

1.    ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ 2 เหตุการณ์ ที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีตและเชื่อมด้วยafter, as soon as, before, when, by, by the time, not…until เช่น

-       Sornram had eaten some fish before he become ill.

-       Som had bought the house before she bought the car.

ข้อแนะนำเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ
        1.     Before I after + V.₂
        2.     Have just I already + V.₃

2.   ใช้ในประโยคสมมติแสดงเงื่อนไขที่ไม่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต

-       If my friend hadn’t fast driven, she wouldn’t have the trouble now.

3.   ใช้ในประโยครายงาน (Reported Speech) ซึ่งมี 2 กรณี คือ

       3.1 จาก Present Perfect Tense เป็น Past Perfect Tense

-       She said: “I have passed the writing course”.

She said the she had passed the writing course.

                   3.2 จาก Past Simple Tense เป็น Past Perfect Tense

-       He said: “I lived five years in Turkey.

He said that he had lives five years in Turkey.

*ประโยคที่เป็น Past Perfect Tense มักจะมีคำว่า after, before, when อยู่ท้ายประโยคค่ะ
